Religiosity is connecting not
separating
A question is rising constantly, God
is close to you, are you close to him?
This question is similar to a quote in
Christianity which says "open your door for Christ because the door
handle is inside not outside."

Some would think that being in church
in front of cross is close enough to God, some other would think he
is close to God/existence during meditating, the others are would
think they are close to God when they pray five times a day and do
all their religious duty, Really? is the monk close enough to God,
are the monks who worshiping God in an isolated place closer to God
more than us?
I don't have an answer, and I don't
know the truth, but I know that the nonbeliever is separated, while
believer is connected. but how could we know if we are connected or
separated from God? What are the symptoms of separation? and what
are the signs of being connected? According to Quran, devil himself
believes in God, but he felt jealous of Adam, because he thought he
was the superior; God made him from fire while Adam was made from
clay, so because of this ARROGANCE devil made a barriers between him
and God; that's why Arabic language use the English word (cover) to
point to "infidel" by saying (Kafir) -means: the one who cover his
mind from the truth.
The one who call himself a "religious
person" he feels - most of the time - that he is above others, you
can find the same feeling of arrogance in merchants and ruling class
when dealing servants, with this arrogance and egos, the religious
person moves away from the true religion (even if he practice all
the religious ritual) All rituals can't help him clearing his heart;
The purity of heart, that do not classify people according to their
colors, nationality, or their culture and actions.
((The Day when neither wealth nor
sons shall benefit, except him who comes before Allah with a pure
heart))(1)
So the main reason for the religion is
to get a pure heart without an ego, selfishness, or arrogance.. the
pure heart which believes that humanity is ONE BIG FAMILY as the
Holy Quran puts it:
((Allah created you, and causes you
to die. There are some of you who, after knowing something, will be
kept back to the vilest state of life, knowing nothing. Allah is the
Knowing, Powerful".(2)
And:
((It is He [God] who created
you from one soul)).(3)
And we can also remember the story of
that woman who went to the hell although she was a believer; because
she locked a cat without food or water until death. In other hand a
story of man in desert, who went to the heaven because he helped a
thirsty dog to drink water using his shoe although he was not
believer!
So God judge people in the first place
according to their hearts and kindness (not their mind and ideas).
From that we can conclude that the
true religion is not about doing rituals more than knowing the God's
word which in the universe, the language of God which teaches us
that we are all brothers in existence.

There are two kinds of gods, "the God
of the universe" who does not alternate or change or turns according
to the situations, who has a straight path to your heart and being,
which never changes according to the situations. The first God is
the one who wants you to open the door for him; the second God
doesn't need you to open any door, because he is in the religious
books and doctrinal and theological explanations. The first God is
the real God who creates the universe, and whom we shall call ((The
light of the heavens and earth)), while the second god is just a
reflection of human's thoughts, requirements, and feelings captured
in the books.
For example in Judaism they calls him
a miser, and Christians calls him LOVE, and believes that he
sacrificed his own son for the humanity… Muslims calls him the
merciful, so every one has his opinion about God, and the new
religions also describe God as the society need.
Kahlil Gibran once said:
"Who knows if the angels were our
thoughts in Heavens, and the demons were our words in books?"(4)
When you are close to the "god of
books", you move away from God of universe. God of universe don't
have a book because his book is the universe itself that never
changed, so? can you open the door for him? or your home can't
receive God.
The god of the universe is very close,
he is so close as much as nobody could recognize him; Earth is very
close to us, that's why we can't see it unless we are far away in
the space, fish also could not know if they were in water, even if
you try to explain it, they'd say, “Water? What's water?” they're so
surrounded by it that it's impossible to see, they can't see it
until they get outside of it and die!
The obvious, nobody can see it.
